NFA in Tigard, Oregon
The site received an NFA determination from the Oregon DEQ following a risk-based assessment, which included groundwater sampling and confirmation that contaminant levels were below regulatory thresholds.
The site has officially received a No Further Action (NFA) determination from the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). This closure follows a risk-based assessment process and multiple rounds of groundwater sampling and monitoring.
The site was initially impacted by gasoline-range organics (GRO), with elevated concentrations detected in early grab samples. However, subsequent monitoring well installations and four quarters of groundwater sampling demonstrated that contaminant levels had declined significantly and were below applicable risk-based concentrations. A Beneficial Water Use Determination (BWUD) was also completed to confirm that no domestic wells were at risk in the vicinity. Based on these findings, DEQ concluded that the site no longer poses a threat to human health or the environment and issued the NFA letter, effectively closing the Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) case.
