UST Closure in Lakewood

Three (3) 10,000-gallon gasoline USTs were safely removed after being vacuumed, rinsed, and inerted.

Envitechnology conducted underground storage tank (UST) closure in Lakewood, WA. Three (3) 10,000-gallon gasoline tanks were safely removed after being vacuumed, rinsed, and inerted. Soil sampling revealed minor benzene contamination beneath two tanks, exceeding state cleanup levels, while other contaminants were within acceptable limits. Approximately 20 tons of petroleum-contaminated soil were excavated and disposed of at a local landfill. Groundwater sampling showed no contamination. Following remediation and confirmatory testing, the site was restored and the UST was formerly closed.
